Pansuk Food and Farm: Phetchaburi Desserts and Farm Stop

Khanom mo kaeng desserts and sheep farm at Pansuk Food and Farm, Phetchaburi

Pansuk Food and Farm is a roadside stop in Phetchaburi where you can eat, shop for local sweets and let the children meet farm animals — all in one place. It is a popular break for travellers driving between Bangkok, Phetchaburi, Cha-am and Hua Hin.

It is best known for khanom mo kaeng, Phetchaburi’s famous baked custard, cooked over charcoal and sold here in many flavours. Add a European-style photo farm with sheep, ponies and rabbits, plus a restaurant with Thai and Western dishes, and it makes an easy stop of an hour or so.

Getting there from Hua Hin

Pansuk Food and Farm: Phetchaburi Desserts and Farm Stop is about 45 km from Hua Hin — around 50 min by car. Book a private car with a Thai driver who waits for you and brings you back whenever you are ready.

What to buy at Pansuk

Phetchaburi is Thailand’s dessert province, and Pansuk is a convenient place to buy its sweets as souvenirs. The star is khanom mo kaeng, a rich custard of egg, coconut milk and palm sugar baked over a charcoal stove. Pansuk sells it in more than 20 flavours, from the classic mung bean and taro to newer flavours.

You will also find khanom bab, layered desserts made with palm sugar, crispy snacks and other local products from Phetchaburi and nearby provinces. Most sweets are packed in boxes that travel well, so they are easy to take home or give as gifts.

The farm

Behind the shop is a small European-style farm built for photos and family fun. Children can see and feed sheep, meet dwarf ponies and visit the rabbit house, while adults enjoy the colourful buildings and garden corners set up as photo spots.

It is small and easy to walk around, so it suits young children and grandparents. Plan 30–45 minutes for the farm if you are not in a hurry.

Food at Pansuk

The restaurant serves a mixed menu: Western dishes such as steak and pasta, Thai and Isaan food, and of course desserts and drinks. It works well as a lunch stop on the drive to or from Bangkok.

Weekends and Thai holidays are busy with families from Bangkok, so arriving before noon or after 2 pm is calmer.

Getting there from Hua Hin

Pansuk is on the Phetkasem Road in Phetchaburi province, north of Cha-am — roughly 45 km or 50 minutes from Hua Hin by car. It is directly on the way to Bangkok, so many guests stop here during a Hua Hin to Bangkok transfer.

You can also combine it with Khao Wang, Khao Luang Cave and the sheep farm on a Zone A day tour. Ask your driver to add the stop when you book.

Tips before you go
